Valley receives snow, rain

QUETTA Jan 25 (PPI): Quetta, Ziart, Kan Mehterzai, Chaman and other parts of Balochistan received snowfall early Wednesday morning following by rain.

Due to snowfall and rain cold increased. Due to snowfall traffic was affected in Ziarat, Chaman, and Muslim Bagh.

Quetta received 21 millimetres of Rain during past 24 hours. Earlier there was 49 mm of rains yesterday.

Dalbandin received 8mm of rains, Sibi and Pasni 7 mm Nok Kundi and Zhob 3, Panjgur 20 Jiwani 23, Khuzdar 22, Barkhan 13, Lasbella 4 Gwadar 25 and Kalat 30 mm of rains Kalat also received 2\2 cm of snowfall.

.Minimum temperate recorded in Quetta Wednesday was 1 Celsius and maximum 4.5 Celsius.

In Kalat minimum temperature on Wednesday was minus 2 Celsius, , Panjgur, Dalbandin and Nok Kundi 3 Celsius, Zhob 4 and Barkhan 5 Celsius.

Due to snowfall Ziarat was cut off with Sanjavi and Harnai by road. Machines wre applied to clear snow to open these roads.

Nine houses were collapsed in Mastung. PDMA sources told that 9 houses wre damaged due to collapse of roos and walls. These houses were not able to live in. Adminsitraitn reached the scene and provided assistance to the affectees and provided them with ratio and tents.

People are suffering form fear due to kutcha hosues which may cause human loss any time.

Electricity played hike and seek and several parts of Baohcistan. Gas pressure also remained low causing difficulties for the consumers in very cold weather.

Met office has forecast Scattered to wide spread thunderstorm-rain along with snowfall over the hills may occur over Sherani, Zhob, Musakhel, Qilla Saifullah, Loralai, Barkhan, Pishin, Quetta, Qilla Abdullah, Mastung, Noshki, Chagai, Sibi, Ziarat, Harnai, Kohlu, Dera Bugti, Bolan, Naseerabad, Jhal Magsi, Jaffarabad, Kalat, Khuzdar, Kharan, Washuk, Panjgur, Turbat, Awaran, Lasbella & Gwadar Districts.

Isolated heavy falls may occur over Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgur, Washuk, Kharan, Chagai, Noshki, Mastung, Kalat, Quetta, Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Ziarat, Harnai, Loralai, Qilla Saifullah, Musakhel, Zhob & Sherani which could trigger flash flooding in hill torrents.
