Balochistan quake: Relief operation in progress

QUETTA Sept 25 (Online): The relief and rescue efforts have been kick-started in the earthquake-ruined areas in Balochistan; at least 300 soldiers have arrived in the affected areas to assist the administration in the operation.
The number of soldiers busy with relief and rescue operation will be enhanced to 1000 by the morning.
Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) has risen to the occasion with the help of Pakistan Army and other paramilitary troops including Frontier Corps and Levies. The troops supported with helicopters, medical units and paramedics, have reached the quake-leveled areas along with the relief goods especially medicines and other medical equipments and essentials.
The worst hit area in Balochistan is Awaran where the top priority of the rescue teams is to remove the rubble of damaged houses and recover bodies and the injured from under the debris.
