3 policemen among 5 killed in Balochistan roadside blast

Quetta, Sept 23 (Online): At least five people including three police personnel killed on Monday in roadside planted bomb blast on Saranan Road in Pashin, a district of troubled province of Balochistan, officials said.

Police and rescue officials have reached the spot to start rescue efforts. Four people were also injured. Forces cordon off the area for search operation.

Police said three policemen and two pedestrians killed in Monday attack.

Officials said militants had planted roadside local-made bomb which exploded by remote control device while police van was passing through.

Taliban militants, Baloch rebel groups and sectarian extremists are active in the largest south west province of the country which are involved in attacks on security forces, immigrants and minority sect community.
