Talks with Taliban only way out to end terrorism: Imran Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Oct 19 (Online): Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has said that talks are the only way for peace in the region.
Talking to newsmen at Kulachi in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday‚ he urged the government to initiate negotiations with Taliban under the mandate given to it by the All Parties Conference (APC).
Imran Khan said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should play a leading role in the elimination of terrorism and success of the dialogue process.
Khan added that no political government had exercised the option of dialogue and if the present government had taken this step it should give it an opportunity to succeed.
Talking about opening of Taliban office in Pakistan, Imran Khan reiterated that if Taliban can open their office in Qatar by the support of United States to hold negotiations, then why not in Pakistan.
In reaction of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s speech, the PTI chairman said those who wanted to see war in the country were calling those in favour of dialogue cowards.
Imran Khan said that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government is establishing its own counter-terrorism force.
Earlier‚ Imran Khan visited the residence of late Provincial Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs‚ Israrullah Khan Gandapur and offered condolence with the bereaved family.
It is worth mentioning here that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister Israrullah Khan Gandapur, who was killed in a suicide bombing at his residence on the first day of Eidul Azha on 16th of this month.
