Nawaz govt exposed in first 100 days: PML

Lahore, Oct 03 (Online): Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi and Central Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed have said that general election of May and promises have been fully exposed.

Addressing Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab enthusiastic consultative meeting at the Muslim League House here Thursday they said those getting published surveys about their popularity should also have survey of 100 days done, electricity and dearness missiles have hit the people very hard making their life miserable, nothing has been done regarding terrorism despite holding of the All Parties Conference(APC).

They further said that instead of honouring their promises made with the people they are fulfilling commitments made with the IMF, prices are increasing with such rapid speed that soon people praying for load shedding and one time meal instead of electricity and cheaper atta.

Other party leaders while speaking on the occasion said that hungry lions have eaten everything, the govt is not to run for five years, no other party graph has fallen with the speed the graph of N-League has fallen, Pakistan Muslim League alone can solve the problems.

These leaders included Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Muhammad Basharat Raja, Tariq Bashir Cheema, Zain Elahi, Aamer Sultan Cheema, Sardar Waqas Hassan Mokal, Halim Adil Shaikh, Mir Abdul Karim Nausherwani, Intekhab Khan Chamakani, S. M. Zafar, Dr Khalid Ranjha, Rana Zahis Tauseef, Malik Asif Awan, Engineer Shehzad Elahi, Khadeeja Omar Farooqui, Mrs Farrukh Khan, Haq Nawaz, Naseem Babar, Sh Saeed Ahmad, Raja Nasir Mahmud and Ch Maqsood.

The meeting prayed for the party leaders and workers and who passed away in the massive earthquake and incidents of terrorism. The meeting especially expressed solidarity with Peshawar incident affected Christian brethren.

Ch Shujat Hussain said in his address that very good proposals and suggestions have been put forth by the party leaders, factual position about general elections held in May has surfaced, everything about voting and preparation of results is very well known now, we are not disappointed, we have our vote bank everywhere, sincere colleagues and enthusiastic workers are there, we will fully participate in the local bodies elections, whether these are held on party or non-party basis, after setting things right.
He said that the govt has not been able to decide even any single matter in 100 days, no headway has been made even after one month regarding terrorism after taking vote from all parties, people are being killed in large number daily.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that we had got rid of the IMF but they have unleashed tsunami of dearness in the country in order to fulfill their commitments with IMF. He said that what to talk about honouring of the promises made with the people even no headway has been made and no home work done.

Continuing, Ch Parvez Elahi said those protesting against electricity at Minar-e-Pakistan with hand fan and crying about Rs 2 roti should now tell as to where is that roti now, the pace with which electricity tariff is being increased and prices of wheat flour are being raised, people would soon start praying that load shedding should continue and they should just get one time meal even.

He said that the present rulers of the Punjab have done away with the progress and development, economic and administrative reforms carried out in the province during our tenure, dearness, lawlessness and unemployment are rising every day and crimes have increased 20 per cent.

He said besides kidnapping for ransom new cancer of forcible extraction is also spreading fast, they are only concerned about hitting the people with dearness, electricity, petrol and other articles prices increase drones, situation is worsening more and more with every passing day, people are clamouring for employment opportunities, they have done anything of public welfare.
