ISLAMABAD, 03 Oct (Online): The JUI-F Ameer, Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that all the decisions taken in the All Parties Conference (APC) should be ensured regarding their implementation.

According to sources, during his one-on-one meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif Maulana Fazlur Rehman also expressed his deep apprehensions that some hidden hands wanted to sabotage government-Taliban talks, hence government should remain vigilant over the nefarious endeavors of such elements.

Maulana was also critical of these hidden elements for their steadfast criticism of Taliban, despite Taliban’s consistent denial of their involvement. He also stressed that government would have to get out of its traditional indecisiveness and take some very serious efforts to ensure lasting peace, law and order and harmony in country.

“Use of power is not the solution to peace, rather it aggravates the already turbulent situations”, he said.

Maulana also offered his good offices for mediating between Taliban and government, while also assuring his full support and cooperation in all matters of National interest.

Mian Shahbaz Sharif assured JUI chief that PML-N government was taking all steps to get the country out of crisis and morbidities of terrorism; besides assuring Maulana that government would implement all recommendations of APC in letter and spirit.

The meeting also deliberated over sky-rocketing prices, while lauding the recently convened ulema conference, as a good omen for peace and harmony in country.
