Afghan Ulema Consultative Council leader demands US not to pollute political atmosphere in Afghanistan, says Afghan soil being used by India and US against Pakistan

QUETTA, Sep 14 (INP): Leader of Afghan Ulema Consultative Council Maulana Abdul Aziz Kakar has demanded of the United States not to pollute political atmosphere for talks with Afghan Taliban and doing away with the black list of Afghans provided to the United Nations.

Addressing a press conference at the Press Club here on Saturday, Maulana Abdul Aziz Kakar asked the US and NATO forces to give a clear timeframe for drawdown from Afghanistan and facilitate the process of dialogue between Taliban, Afghan Resistance and Ulema and Afghan government.

He said after 9/11 the US and 48 other western countries attacked Afghanistan and dislodged the Taliban government in addition to killing of tens of thousands of Afghan. He said despite use of all the armament, the US could not break the will of Taliban and other resistance leaders against foreign occupation.

He said direct dialogue between Taliban and US was interference in the affairs of Afghanistan. He called for encouraging Taliban, Ulema and Scholars in Afghanistan’s political matters saying without this peace cannot be established.

Similarly he said the list given by the United States to UN for blacklisting Afghans should be withdrawn immediately.

The Afghan leader said conspiracies were being hatched in Afghanistan for subversive activities against Pakistan and Iran which was creating enmity between the neighbouring countries. He also disclosed that Afghan soil was being used by India against Pakistan and for this purpose several spy centres have been establish to promote killings and instability in the country.

Maulana Aziz also accused US for encouraging Mujahideen Khalaq to use it against Iran. He said it was because of these conspiracies that there is instability in Balochistan which is a cause of serious concern.

He said more than four thousand prominent Ulema have been jailed in Afghanistan where they are being tortured like those in Abu Gharib and Guantanamao Bay.
