Govt to succeed in eradicating terrorism to make country peaceful: Nawaz

LAHORE, Sep 14 (INP) Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has expressed confidence that the government would succeed in eradicating terrorism and make the country peaceful.

While presiding over two separating meetings about establishment of anti-terrorism force and repair and construction of important roads here on Saturday, the prime minster said formation of the anti-terrorism force was need of the hour and no delay would be tolerated.

The prime minister was briefed about the steps taken to check terrorism in Punjab. Nawaz Sharif appreciated the initiatives of the Punjab government and directed that the task of formation of the force be accomplished on emergency basis.

Mian Nawaz Sharif said that eradication of terrorism would attract foreign investment and make the country economically strong.

Later the prime minister presided over a meeting about construction and repair of roads in Lahore. He directed for removal of encroachments along all the major roads including Circular Garden road for smooth flow of traffic.

He assured that the present government would provide relief to the people in all sectors as development of prosperity of the country was its top most priority.

The meetings were attended by Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah, Chief Secretary, IG Punjab, Director General LDA, DCO, Director Ring Road project and other concerned officials.
