Senate Subcommittee on Defence meets

QUETTA July 7 (PPI): Steps would be taken to remove apprehensions of tribe and payment of their due compensation for undecided lands in Quetta Cantt and Samungli Air base so that these problems are decided with consultation and consent.
These views were expressed by Chairman Senate Sub Committee on Defence Lt General ( R) Senator Abdul Qayyum while chairing committee meeting at CM Secretariat here Friday.
Meeting of Subcommittee was held on the request of Balochistan chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri.
Besides members of subcommittee meeting was also attended by members of Committee constituted with Chief Minister as its head including Dr Malik Baloch, Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal, Station Commander, senior officers of Air Force, Deputy Commissioner Quetta and tribal elders of concerned areas.
Chairman Subcommittee asked concerned officers to prepare a comprehensive by sitting with concerned tribes and present to t the committee within in 30 days. Committee would review it. He said Balochistan is close to our hearts and we stand by them for rights of people. It is good sign that representatives of all the tribes were attending meeting today. Hopefully the matter would be resolved amicably.
He said local tribes have reservations over their lands in Quetta Cantt and Samungli and owners should get rights according to law. He said we are people’s representatives and security to rights of people is our first priority.
Chairman and members of Sub Committee also inspected undecided land near Nohisar on the outskirts of metropolis.
