SIBI May 18 (PPI): President Awami National Party Balochistan Asghar Achakzai has announced to postpone May 23 public meeting scheduled for May 23. He asked Supreme Court of Pakistan and Election Commission to take notice in this regard and seek reply form concerned quarters or it would be detrimental in the coming days.
He announced this while addressing a Press conference here Thursday. He was flanked by ANP Parliamentary leader Zamrak Achakzai, Dr Inayatullah, Senior Vice President Omar Farooq and others.
Asghar Achakzai said security institutions informed us in writing that three suicide attackers had entered Quetta city and situation was not good therefore May 23 public meeting should be postponed. He said we put off our meeting in view of incident s of terrorism but it is regretted to say that other parties are allowed o hold their programmes and public meetings but when we announced to organize such things problems are created for us. He said if country is to be saved Bacha Khan’s vision should be followed or situation would continue to take place in the same way.
President ANP Balochistan said our party has always struggled for supremacy of constitution and law and stability of democracy and would spread party message to the people in a democratic way but the way we are meted out discriminatory attitude prior to election and after that Supreme Court and Election Commission should take suo motto notice and seek reply form security institutions why ANP has been made target. If their attitude continues the same way it would be harmful in the coming days. Asghar Achakzai said China Pak Economic Corridor has been confined to Punjab only and its clear proof is Punjab Chief Minister’s press conference. He said we want to make it clear that CPEC is not China Pak but it is China and Punjab accord. Only prime Minister and five ministers have details of this . If it is project for whole of the country people should be aware of it that how much money is being spent and where.
He also condemned Mastung incident and termed it act of terrorism.
