Pak cueists to take part in Snooker Championships in Ireland

ISLAMABAD, Sep 28 (Online): A two-member Pakistan snooker team, comprising World Champion Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Sajjad on Saturday went to Ireland to take part in the IBSF world 6-Red and world team snooker championships.

According to Pakistan Billiards & Snooker Association (PBSA), this year both championships will take place at Ivy Rooms, Carlow, Ireland from September 29 to October 6.

Member countries can send two teams of two players each for men, women and masters. All players in the team events can participate in the 6 Red’s, which will be mixed. Six sessions will be played every day with three session for team championship followed by three sessions for 6-Red.

The team event round robin stage will be held over five days of three sessions per day with the 6-Red round robin stage held with three sessions per day played. The knockout stages will be held over the final two days.
