QUETTA Mar 6 (PPI): Some people were forcing us to take up guns than removing us in political and democratic manner. We ask whether gun is solution to problem or not because our elders 100 years earlier have enticed us to lead peaceful life and politics. Ulema have come to the field to guide people in right direction. They are ready to give sacrifices of lives along with financial assistance. Hundred year programme would be of great significance for the region in which course of action would be announced to lead people on right direction.
These views were expressed by Amir Jamiat Ulemae Islam Maulana Fazlur Rehman while addressing tribal elders and businessmen associated with JUI at a local hotel Monday.
JUI Secretary General and Deputy Chairman Senate Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hydri and provincial Secretary General Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate addressed.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said JUI is the only political and religious party which has played its role ate every forum to guide people in direction. It urged that there is need for welfare bodies for the poor and down trodden masses in the country. He said it is responsibility of state to strengthen its security and intelligence bodies to play role for country’s stability and strength. We would play role with the power of people as democracy and politics strengthens.
He said JUI would play its role for ending of disputes articles of the country and law and reforms.
He said a massive gathering would be organize don completion of 100 years of party in Peshawar. For the success of this gathering tribal elders and businessmen associated with the party should play their role both financial and human. He said Party Ulema should come to the field and play their role for guiding people. He said unless we speak truth society would not set right. Therefore we have to play role for guiding people.
He said our ideology and human freedom is gift given to us by our elders. Security to rights is guarantee for peace. If rights would not be given there will be fight. He aid there is no party but JUI which speaks of independence of human and peace and order. There are so many parties who claim for this but they did nothing for poor nor the country.
Despite all these measures viewing religious parties with doubt and terrorism is failed policy of State. He said we have earlier stated terrorism is curse and religious parties have no concern with it. We repeat this today that action should be taken against terrorism but targeting religious parties or madaris is not acceptable at all under this context. He said there are talks of terrorism in the country but we give formula against terrorism that government should be handed over to JUI it would eliminate corruption at once.
He said religious parties have always led life according to constitution and law and never took law into hands. Those who do not accept law and constitution should be taken to task.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said we did not improve economy of the country since 70 years and during this period jagirdars and capitalists rule keeping their interest in view. We want to make clear those targeting religious parties that neither any molvi made any corruption nor ruled. He said if corruption of all the Ulema of the country is collected, corruption of Defence of Lahore will be much higher.
He said some forces have stopped way of JUI to Parliament but we want to make it clear if these institutions which stop our way to parliament but cannot become hurdle between people and party. We advice them that Jamiat do politics under constitution and law. Out way should not be stopped or we can do every thing as last resort.
