World Bank Task Team meets Chairman PAC

QUETTA Feb 4 (PPI): Fir the first time in Balochistan history every thing was going in transparent manner. This was stated by Chairman Public Accounts Committee of Balochistan Assembly Abdul Majeed Achakzai while speaking with a delegation of World Bank Task Team here Tuesday.
World Bank Task Team included its leader Sher Shah Khan, Celila, Mariata, Osman Jah and Chief of Foreign Aid P&D Department Mujeebur Rehman Panezai and Communication Officer Tariq Khan.
Majeed Achakzai said World Bank should provide us technical assistance so that matters are improve din short span of time.
He told that we have conducted audit of every institution. If our manpower is better then work would be started at district level. He said he was facing difficulties in receiving record and its search. We were extending full support to NAB, FIA and Anti Corruption Establishment. He said Centre did not provide us our share. If it was provided it was utilized for the people.
He said corruption is much more in other provinces than in Balochistan. He needs technical experts and no financial assistance. It is his vision we should make Public Accounts Committee a strong body so that people are benefited.
He said no meeting of Public Accounts Committee has been held in Sindh, Punjab and Khyber Pashtoonkhwa.
We are in contact with World Bank, European Union and other donor agencies for the past some time. We want technical experts at the earliest so that work in people’s interest is completed at the earliest.
