Joint Nurses Action Committee holds protest demonstration

QUETTA Feb 2 (PPI): Senior nurses were returning on completion of their age of 60 years without promotions while Government of Punjab has given promotion to thousands of nurses whose services are more than 20 years to Grade-17. There are less than 200 nurses with service of 20 years or more. They should also be promoted.
This was stated by Nurse Nasira Bibi while addressing protestors here Thursday.
Earlier Nurses held protest demonstration in support of their demands at BMC hospital.
She said In Punjab and Khyber Pashtoonkhwa provinces nurses were being given health Professional Allowance and high risk allowance but nurses in Balochistan are deprived of his. She said by holding protest we do not want to worry patients nor our demands are bigger causing difficulty for the government.
Our morale would not be down with transfer of members of our committee and nurses. We have launched protest for common interest of nurses.
She said student nurses were being paid Rupees 20 thousand stipend monthly. This should also be given to our students. Our nurses are deprived of residential facility. Marriage Colony should be built for married nurses, she added.
