QUETTA Jan 30 (PPI): National Party stand on census and CPEC is very clear and we have been expressing it at every forum.
This was stated by former provincial chief Minister and national party central leader Dr Abdul Malik Baloch while addressing a Press conference here Monday.
Political workers from Harnai, Ziarat, Killa Saifullah and Quetta joined National Party at the Press conference.
NP Spokesperson Jan Muhammad Buledi, MPA Yasmeen Lehri and others were also present.
Welcoming new comers into party folds Dr Malik Baloch said it is our desire all the suppressed and oppressed nations are united and struggle against sectoral excesses and create harmony among all the nations living in Balochistan.
He said our stance on CPEC and census is very clear. We do not accept census in the presence of foreigners. Owing to insurgency in the province large number of people have shifted form their homes. Census should not be conducted till return to their homes and repatriation of foreigners to their countries. He said Gwadar Port was handed over to Singapore during Musharraf period and after his departure its shares were bought by Chinese Company during previous government. We are desirous of CPEC and development of the province but we have some demands. Most important is that steps should be taken to save local population from becoming minority. Under 18 th amendment PPP government had promised us that Gwadar Port would be handed over to provincial government but it was not done so.
Dr Malik Baloch said Gwadar Port should be handed over to provincial government and incomes incurred from it and employments there should have Balochistan and its people’s share.
