QUETTA Jan 29 (PPI): President National Party and Federal minister for Ports and Shipping Hasil Bizenjo has asked for postponing census till complete withdrawal of foreigners. We would go to Supreme Court in this regard.
Addressing a Press conference here Sunday Hasil Bizenjo said Baloch political parties and KP Government do not support census. In the presence of large number of foreigners census is not possible in Balochistan. On one side there are foreigners and have migrated from Mekran and Nasirabad Divisions on the other from where lot of people have migrated due to terrorism. If census is held in this situation it would create lot of political problems. He said recently political parties have held a meeting in which it has been decided that situation is not conducive for census and therefore government should postpone census for the time being. He said Lahkari Raisani has also announced to organized a jiga on conducting census in the presence of foreigners. Federal government and Supreme Court should also review their decisions.
Answering a question he said he has raised the issue at the Senate and National Assembly and political parties were supporting him. We would continue to raise voice at every democratic forum in this regard but our National Party has not decided to boycott census. If any decision in this regard was taken it would be in consultation with political parties and would go to Supreme court.
Answering another question Hasil Biznejo said government has told of return of foreigners in March.
