QUETTA Jan 28 (PPI): Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Zehri has said powers conferred to the province under 18th amendment would be fully utilized to put the province on road to economic self sufficiency. Exploration of mineral resources and development projects would be speeded up and Balochistan Revenue Authority would be fully activated to increased revenue recoveries.
He expressed these views while speaking with CM Coordinator for Balochistan Revenue authority Muhammad Ejaz Sanjrani here Saturday.
Ejaz Sanjrani briefed Chief Minister on performance o Balochistan Revenue Authority, development of mineral sector in Chagai and other projects.
Chief Minister said that he had belief unless Balochistan resources are fully utilized targets of development cannot be achieved. He said unfortunately we could no fully utilized our massive natural resources. Had attention paid on it in the past and effective policy frame by taking correct and bold decisions situation would not be the same of today.
Nawab Zehri said if we develop our mineral, agriculture, marine and energy resources correctly every family in the province can be given Rupees 20 to 25 thousand per month.
He said poverty is not our fate. Allah Almighty has given us immense wealth in the face of natural resources and its non utilization is not less than a big loss.
He said we have courage and power of decision making that we without taking any one into consideration can utilize our resources for the welfare of the people of province.
Referring to Saindak project he said federal government accepting our bold and principled stand has decided to transfer control of Saindak project from October 2017 to the province. . To make this project more beneficial for the province employment of those working at the project would be secured.
Appreciating performance of Balochistan Revenue Authority Zehri said that in short span of its inception Authority has realized billions of Rupees under service tax and deposited in provincial kitty. Government would ensure correct utilization of available resources besides development of resources he added.
