QUETTA Dec 31 (PPI): Pakistan People’s Party is not opposed to CPEC but it would never withdraw from rights of smaller provinces. Nationalists have badly failed in providing facilities to the people which is evident form lapse of billions of Rupees funds.
This was stated by former Federal Minister and PPP Central leader Sardar Omar Gorgej while speaking with a group of Newsmen here Saturday.
Sardar Gorgej said during its period PPP gave autonomy to smaller provinces and NFC award and restored 1973 constitution its original shape. He said PPP also signed Pak-Iran gas pipeline agreement under which Pakistan was to be provided cheap gas but instead of following this agreement rulers were making agreements with Qatar for purchasing gas at exorbitant prices.
He said Nationalists parties gave nothing to the masses but pessimism and difficulties instead of resolving their problems. During four year period no development work was carried out in Quetta and other parts of Balochistan. Billions of rupees received by the province are lapsed speaking failure of rulers.
Omar Gorgej said PPP is not opposed to Economic Corridor but Federation has to remove apprehensions of smaller provinces and work on this project should have been started in Balochistan then in Lahore.
He said in recent days 400 young men have been sent for training from Lahore only while Balochistan, Khyber Pashtoonkhwa and Sindh were totally ignored which is excess with smaller provinces.
PPP leader said China was making billions of Rupees investment with regard to Gwadar but people of Gwadar are deprived of clean drinking water.
Answering a question Sardar Gorgej said Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and former president Asif Zardari would play role of strong Opposition after their election to the parliament.
Answering another question he said complaints between Ai Madad Jattak and Sadiq Umrani have been removed and two leaders were playing their role for making party active in the province.
