QUETTA Dec 27 (PPI): Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ai Jinnah had a special love with people of Balochistan. Every one was fully aware of his close relations with rulers and people of Kalat who weighed Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah with Gold. During last days of his life Quaid e Azam selected Ziarat for his stay during his illness. Government of Balochistan has not only rebuilt his residency afresh but has given it status of national Memorial.
This he stated while addressing a ceremony held on eve of Quaid e Azam’s birthday at Governor House here Tuesday.
President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain was the chief guest the ceremony while provincial ministers and members of assembly, provincial secretaries and senior officers attended.
Governor said Quaid was a well dressed personality. He desired Hindu Muslim Unity and complete freedom of India but keeping narrow sightedness and prejudicial behaviour of Congress leader he decided to separate from Congress. By dint of his best abilities Quaid e Azam secured support of Muslims of Sub continent and made Creation of Pakistan a reality. Pakistan appeared on world map on August 14, 1947. There seems to be no such success in the world.
Referring to Quaid’s deep love with Balochistan, Governor said he announced reforms for the province in 1948. At that time the province was very small.
Appreciating provincial government efforts Governor said that it ahs named public library after the name of Father of Nation. It is good move he added. Expressing his pleasure Governor said name o f annual award given to literary people has also been name as Allama Iqbal Book. He said every living nation not only remembers its elders and leaders but continues to move forward in light of their sayings and principles in the journey of development.
Lauding role and personality of President Mamnoon Hussain Governor Achakzai said that he has always raised voice against corruption and nepotism by his character and practice. He aid these are such ills which were identified by Quaid e Azam also.
Balochistan artistes and singers performed on the occasion while school children sung national songs.
