Quetta, September 23 (Online): Chief of his own faction of Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman Monday termed Peshawar church attack as national tragedy.

Talking to journalists here, Maulana said Peshawar church attack was a planned conspiracy to sabotage peace process in the country.

He said Sunday deadly attack which left 83 people dead was worst example of barbarism and unkindness.

Demanding a judicial commission to probe Peshawar tragedy, Maulana said report of commission must be made public to show the world which elements were behind Sunday attack.

Maulana also demanded the culprits of church blasts must be brought to justice.

JUI-F chief stressed that peace is need of hour for whole region adding that war is not solution of any dispute.

Citing Kashmir example, Maulana said militancy in occupied valley has ended to give peace a chance and to initiate dialogue between Islamabad and New Delhi to resolve core issue between two countries.

Maulana said Afghanistan and US should also try to bring militants on negotiation table to restore peace in war-torn country.

Appreciating release of Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Baradar Fazalur Rehman said that this step would help peace process in neighboring country.
