QUETTA: The Secretary of Secondary Education, Abdul Saboor Khan Kakar has directed to the Director School and District Education Officers (DEOs) to end illegal possessions and encroachments in the boundaries of the government schools, otherwise action would be taken against them.
In this regard, the necessary assistance of the concerned administration and area police should be gained, he maintained.
This, he stated during inspection of different schools and the examination centers established there, the other day.
The Secretary Communications, Ali Ahmed Mengal, Chief Engineer, Communications and other high ups of the Education department.
Needless to mention here is that his visit was aimed at reviewing the facilities made available at the Exam centers for the Matric examinations starting from February 18, 2015.
The Secretary Communications on the occasion briefed about the ongoing development in the schools.
He told that the work of repair and renovation of the exam centers as well as provision of the gas, water and electricity would be completed by February 12.
During the visit, the illegal possession of the ground of the Government High School Haji Ghaibi road was withdrawn through the police force while the encroachments established along the four wall of the Government Boys High School Sabzal road was also removed. Similarly, the illegal control made in the boundary of the Jamia High School was also ended.
The Secretary Secondary Education also directed to the officials to take immediate steps for putting an end to the illegal possessions and encroachments made within or outside the school buildings.
The provision of books to the schools by the government was also reviewed by the Secretary Education.
He expressed satisfaction over the matter and directed to provide the books to the schools by February 20, 2015.
He commended that it is appreciable that the process of supply of books to the government schools is continued successfully.
It may also be mentioned here that it is for the first time in history of the province that the academic books were provided to the schools by the Balochistan Text Book Board in time.
