QUETTA: The crackdown against the profiteers is continued by the Price Control Committee in the provincial metropolis.
The team led by the Assistant Commissioner Quetta Sadar, Imran Bangulzai raided Kuchlak bazaar and Samungli road.
During the crackdown, at least seven shopkeepers were arrested on the charges of violating the official price list.
The shopkeepers were also charged cash fine of Rs. 29,000 in the campaign launched against the profiteers in the areas.
While on the other hand, some 25 shopkeepers were also issued warning to follow the official price list.
Speaking on the occasion, the Assistant Commissioner Sadar warned the profiteers of stern action if found involved in profiteering violating the official rate list.
He said that no one would be spared at all. He said that it is our endeavour to ensure implementation on official price list so that the people may get relief.
The action would be taken against profiteers on daily basis, he maintained.
Moreover, the AC Sadar also mentioned that campaign has also been started against the sellers of poor quality and injurious-to-health edibles.
He directed to all the shopkeepers to ensure strict implementation on the official price list already issued by the district administration.
