Genuine demands of pharmacists to be considered: Minister

QUETTA: The Provincial Minister for Health, Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch has said that the talented, hard working and sincere staff is being encouraged in the health department.
The issues of the health staff including those of the pharmacists would be resolved in due course of time, assured by the Minister while addressing a meeting of the committee formed for consideration of the demands of the Pakistan Pharmacists Association Balochistan here the other day.
The committee had been formed on directives of the Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch.
The Additional Secretary Health and Additional Secretary Finance besides the Pharmacists’ Association’s representatives Syed Sultan Shah, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa Shahwani, Dr. Muhammad Saleem Baloch, Dr. Asmatullah and others attended the meeting.
He said that the role of pharmacists in the health sector is very important and as such their genuine demands are being considered seriously.
He said that committee formed by the Chief Minister would take all the issues and demands into consideration and prepare its recommendations thereon for perusal of the Chief Minister.
The demands are included: service structure of the pharmacists / drug inspectors, non-practicing allowance, one year house job for the Pharm D. Doctors, provision of stipend, recruitment of the pharmacists in the private hospitals, projects and non governmental organizations dealing in health under the Drug Regulatory Authority Act 2012, besides other facilities for the pharmacists.
The Minister Health assured that the demands would be duly considered for solution.
