Three more fall victims to gas suffocation in metropolis

QUETTA: Three persons fell victims to the gas suffocation in two different incidents here on Monday.
While the first unfortunate incident was reported from Hazara Town, the other was occurred in Killi Ismail area.
According to the hospital sources, the bodies of two persons were brought in the Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) Hospital from Hazara Town on Monday morning.
The deceased were stated to be real brothers, who became victim of gas suffocation in their home. It was told that they had gone to bed after leaving the gas heaters on. Consequently, the oxygen in room was consumed totally over the time, which caused suffocation and thus the two died.
Their death was confirmed by the doctors on duty in the BMC Hospital as well, later. The bodies were handed over to the heirs after necessary legal formalities.
Meanwhile, the similar incident was reported from Killi Ismail the same day. Ghulam Sarwar met the same fate in his house.
His body was removed to the Sandeman Provincial Headquarter Hospital. Later, his body was also handed over to his bereaved family members for burial.
It may be mentioned here that over a dozen persons have been died of gas suffocation in Quetta during the current winter season.
