Motorcycle Mobile Unit comprising 200 police personnel formed

QUETTA: A Motorcycle Mobile Unit comprising some 200 police personnel has been formed in Quetta.
This was informed by the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Quetta, Sardar Abdul Majeed Dasti while talking to a delegation consisting of the representatives of Markazi Anjuman Tajran Balochistan, Sarafa Association and Motorcycle Association here on Friday.
The Motorcycle Mobile Unit would work in the city and the personnel part of the Unit would remain present there for checking. The Unit would have the capability to face any emergent situation besides chasing the criminals and terrorists and calling additional strength of the police force in case of any emergency.
He said that the people’s cooperation is required for tackling the law and order situation and particularly eliminating the criminal elements.
We have already busted gangs of the criminals with cooperation of the general public, adding he mentioned.
He said that it is our city and we would maintain close rapport with the people to curb crimes from the society.
The RPO urged the people to keep a strict vigil on the suspected elements in their respective areas and if it was done then the police force would be more active to maintain law and order.
He also said that peace is pre-requisite for economic stability.
The representatives of the traders on the occasion shared their issues with the RPO. They said that the traders’ community has always been desirous of establishing peace.
They have always cooperated with the police force in maintaining law and order situation and would continue to do so in future as well, said the traders’ representatives.
