ISLAMABAD, April 29 (Online): JUI(S) and Taliban nominated committee head, Maulana Sami-ul-Haq has said that seminaries have no link with terrorism, and were rather acting as.
Talking to special envoy of American President Obama, Irshad Hussain, Maulana Sami conveyed his recommendations regarding such issues as Muslim communities of America and abroad, Pak-India relations, Core issue of Indian-occupied Kashmir, changes in Afghan scenario, America’s post-Afghan withdrawal agenda , dialogue with Taliban and other issues related to Taliban, and other matters if mutual interest.
The American envoy, arriving in Islamabad on his 2-day visit to Pakistan, while conveying the good wishes of American President Obama, also lauded the efforts of Maulana Sami-ul-Haq in dialogue with Taliban, expressing that problems being faced by Muslim communities could also be handled with dialogue.
Among other issues, the importance of such issues as Pakistan’s Islamic identity, amendments related to important Islamic issues, Qaidiani -related issues, Blasphemy Act, Hudood Ordinance, were also discussed.
The American delegation also included Deputy Ambassador OIC, Arsalan Suleman, Dr. Syed Muhammad Saeed, national director for community alliance Islamic Society of North America, American diplomat Ahmad, the first political secretary and second counselor USA embassy , Sarah Loren.
