ISLAMABAD April 28 (Online): Disillusioned over being so blatantly left out on the backburner by his own party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Abdul Hakim Baloch has stepped down as State Minister for Railways.

“My resignation as state minister is a protest against PML-N’s deliberately ‘downplaying’ its representatives from Sindh”, Baloch said in a statement issued here.

He said that it’s a pity that even Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafique, did not bother to let me in on any of his engagements during his recent visit to Karachi.

“No one informed me about Rafique’s plans. I was not even considered worth inviting to the programs organized for the federal minister. I can’t stand this apathy, on the part of my party leadership, any longer. I quit”, a disgruntled Baloch said.

However, according to Baloch, the party has not accepted his resignation as yet
