ISLAMABAD, Mar 12 (Online): Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan terming arrests, raids, shelling and prisoners torture as violation of ceasefire has said that such steps are affecting the conducive environment of dialogue process.

In a statement on Wednesday TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid said after the announcement of ceasefire by the TTP Pakistan security agencies are continuing with their action in tribal areas. Search operation and shelling is being carried out in Bajaur and Mohmand Agency. Search operation and raids are also being held in Karachi, Peshawar, Tehsil Kalachi and other areas in which innocents are being nabbed.

He said prisoners being held in Peshawar, Mahmand and Karachi central jail are being tortured and prisoners from Central jail Karachi are being transferred to Jails of Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab without any reason. Due to these transfers the families of the prisoners cannot meet them and are facing difficulties.

The spokesman said that TTP is seriously implementing the ceasefire agreement and has also disassociated itself from Al Ahrar Hind and Jandullah. We will not allow anyone within our ranks to violate the ceasefire.

However certain elements within the government ranks are bent upon sabotaging the talks process. Government should control such elements.

We hope that the government would take action against such elements so that the dialogue process concludes positively.
