Religious Affairs Ministry uploads Hajj Policy draft on website

ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (Online): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has uploaded Hajj Policy draft on its official website.

According to policy draft, the ministry will start receiving hajj applications against 56684 seats of government’s Hajj scheme from next months.
Authorities concerned have been asked to send their recommendations till February 10.

Applicant’s machine readable passport should have expiry later than March 31, 2015 and they have to submit some 200, 000 rupees except air ticket along with Hajj application in terms of their residence, food and other expenses.

Maximum fare of residence in Makah is being told 3600 Saudi riyals (111600 rupees) per head while 500 riyals (15500 rupees) in Madina city of the Kingdom.
Though, pilgrims will pay according to their accommodation and extra amount will be given back to them in Pakistani currency before their return to Pakistan.

Shuttle bus service will be provided to those who will reside at a distance of more than two kilo meters away from Haram Sharif.

All pilgrims will have to arrange more 1500 Saudi riyals themselves to meet their expenses and medical certificate of only government hospitals’ will be accepted.

Women up to 45 years age limit will not be allowed to perform Hajj lonely.

Hajj flights will take start from 10 cities of the country and half of pilgrims will be dropped directly at Jeddah airport while half other will be dropped at Madina.
