QUETTA, Sept 16 (INP): The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Monday again rejected the report of the Inspector General Frontier Corps (IG FC) regarding the missing persons.

During proceedings of the Balochistan law and order case at the apex court’s Quetta registry, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry expressed anger over the failure of IG FC to appear before the bench. “We do not want to see anyone’s face; we want the missing persons to be recovered. Forces should not be embarrassed; they are being blamed by everyone,” Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry remarked.

The chief justice told the Additional Attorney General to inform the IG FC that the report regarding missing persons was not accepted.

The chief justice also asked for those FC officers who have cases pending against them to appear in court as only then they would hand over the missing persons.

Justice Azmat Saeed remarked that the officers were not aware of the cost associated with their non-serious attitude.

“There is no use of your appearance in the court. What reply we will give to the heirs of the missing persons,” the chief justice told the additional attorney general. The chief justice told the AAG to produce the missing persons and don’t embarrass the forces. He said the court wants results.

During the proceedings, Justice Iftikhar inquired from the AAG about the whereabouts of the Secretary Interior. The AAG told the court that the Secretary Interior was on visit to Turkey along with the chief minister.

“It appears that if you are not serious in running the state. Neither IGFC nor any representative from the federal government is present. We respect everyone but duty has to be performed,” the chief justice remarked.
