ISLAMABAD, Jan 10 (Online): Former interior minister, Senator Rehman Malik has said that peace cannot be restored in Pakistan until and unless Afghanistan does not collaborate.

He was talking to media men outside Parliament House here on Friday.

Malik urged international community to support Pakistan in war against terror.

Talking about Karachi operation and situation in Karachi, former Interior minister said that Chief Minister Sindh is not captain of operation he is only caretaker.

“Chaudhry Aslam is a martyr and there is no need to ask anybody about this,” he said.

Rehman Malik disclosed that SSP CID, Chaudhry Aslam was a sign of terror for terrorists, adding he vowed security forces to start joint operation against terrorists so that this kind of act could be averted in future.

Commenting upon Taliban, Malik reminded that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) extended dialogue process but Taliban were not ready to lay down arms, adding Taliban follow strategy to ‘reunite power’ under the umbrella of dialogue, he disclosed.

“I am foreseeing destruction not dialogue,” Rehman Malik ended.
