Balochistan is an important province: Army Chief

QUETTA Dec 12 (Online); Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has said development of Balochistan is development of Pakistan.

Addressing an impressive passing out parade of smartly turned out eighteen hundred Baloch recruits at EME Center in Quetta on Thursday‚ he said his presence here soon after assuming his new duties is reflection of his strong affiliation with Balochistan province.

Expressing his confidence in newly cadets Pakistan Army‚ Frontier Corps and Police‚ the COAS said their training will help maintain the law and order situation in the province.

He said since 2010‚ over twenty thousand Jawans (soldiers) have been recruited in Pakistan Army so to give Balochistan a proper representation.

He said Pakistan Army has taken concrete steps to alleviate deprivation of the province‚ especially in education and development sectors.

He said Balochistan is an important province‚ which has been blessed with countless resources.

Raheel Sharif urged newly passed out cadets to play their role for the progress of the province.

Chief Minister Balochistan Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch has urged all powers of the province to come on dialogue table to achieve peace and prosperity of the province.

Addressing fresh passed out recruits in Quetta‚ he said only a peaceful province can ensure development of Balochistan.

Earlier‚ the Chief Minister gave away honorary awards to the best recruits.
