‘Special Court’ to hear treason case against Musharraf challenged

ISLAMABAD, Dec 2 (Online): Special Court, established to hear treason case under Article-6 against former military dictator General (retired) Pervez Musharraf, has been challenged in Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The counsel of Pervez Musharraf, Advocate Riaz Sahi filed a petition in IHC here on Monday.
In the petition, it is stated that Justice Faisal Arab was one of the judges, who were suspended in 2007. Therefore, Justice Faisal Arab hading the Special Court would be biased.
The petitioner pleaded the court to declare null and void the formation of Special Court, which will hear treason case under Article-6 against the former dictator Musharraf.
