ISLAMABAD Nov 27 (Online): Minister of State for Education and Training Balig ur Rehman has assured that financial allocations will be increased for the promotion of education in the country.

Addressing a ceremony at Quaid-e-Azam University in Islamabad, he said the government is keeping education at the forefront.

The Minister pointed out that the young generation is a valuable asset of Pakistan and it is the collective responsibility of government and educational institutions to train them in the best possible manner in order to exploit their true potential.

Baligur Rehman said the universities should not only serve as center of learning but also actively engaged themselves in finding solutions of problems currently faced by the country including energy.

Regretting the high drop out rate from schools and low percentage of technical education‚ the minister of state said we will work towards that end to help the youth stand on their own feet.
