7 killed, 16 injured as Jaffar Express blown

DERA MURAD JAMALI Oct 21 (PPI): Seven passengers including a woman and a child were killed and 16 others sustained injuries when terrorists blew up incoming Jaffar Express train near Notal between Dera Murad Jamali and Sibi Monday.
Train traffic between Quetta and rest of the country was suspended and repair fo damaged track was undertaken.
According to details terrorists planted improvised explosive device along the track near Notal between Sibi and Dera Murad Jamali. When Quetta bound Jaffar Express train passed from this portion, bomb exploded. As a result four bogeys were derailed and badly damaged.
On information Police and security forces rushed to the scene. Deputy Commissioner Nasirabad also reached the hospital and enquired after health of injured persons.
Dead and injured were immediately shifted to civil hospital Dera Murad Jamali. Two of the dead were identified as Waseem and Mst Shareefan.
Railways Control room told PPI that all outgoing trains Jaffar Express, Akbar Bugti Express and Bolan Mail were cancelled from Quetta while all incoming trains were limited to Sukkur station. Repair of track was undertaken and hopefully it would be completed sometime Monday night.
Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai while condemning bomb explosion along the railway line near Sibi has expressed heart felt grief and sorrow. He said this incident of terrorism is extremely condemnable. He urged that accused involved should be brought to justice. He prayed may Allah place those killed in eternal peace and grant patience to the members of bereaved families. He also prayed for early recovery of injured people.
Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch condemning the incident called a report into the incident.
According to Spokesman of provincial government Dr Malik Baloch also pressed grief over the loss of precious lies. He directed immediate shifting of injured people to Quetta and said no effort should be spared in their treatment.
Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan Major General Muhammad Ejaz Shahid rushed to the scene along with a team of doctors and reviewed rescue activities and medical facilities being extended to the injured people.
IG FC told Newsmen that terrorists taking benefit of dark planted explosive material along with the track at night. More than 10 Kg explosive was used for attack on the train.
While condemning the attack on train Major General Ejaz Shahid said it is brutal and cowardice act. Terrorists targeting common man have no religion. He said if we jointly criticize crime, terrorism and criminals and discard terrorism as a responsible society, definitely peace and harmony can be established and Balochistan can be made a peaceful region.
