AIOU enters into bilateral cooperation with Chinese Open University

Islamabad, Oct 8 (Online): Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has entered into bilateral cooperation with Open University of China for academic exchanges, as well as sharing their experience and expertise to achieve educational targets through distance learning system.
Vice-Chancellor AIOU, Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi said that the AIOU was looking forward to strengthen collaboration and partnership with the foreign Universities, particularly from the friendly Universities.
The AIOU had already signed a bilateral agreement with Chinese Sichuan University.
Dr. Sangi said, they held very fruitful and positive discussion with the heads and deans of Foreign Universities who participated in Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU), held last week.
Mr. Zhang Hui, Vice-President, International Cooperation and Exchange Division of the Open University of China expressed his gratitude to AIOU’s administrative for their warm hospitality extended to them during the conference and hoped that their cooperation will help to realize their common goals in the education sector.
Besides participating in the AAOUâ€s conference, the Chinese delegation also visited the University’s Karachi Campus. The delegation was briefed about the working of the University by the Assistant Registrar Inamullah Shaikh. The delegation appreciated the facilities provided at the Campus.
