Musharraf’s name remains in Benazir murder case

RAWALPINDI, Oct 8 (Online): An anti-terrorism court in Rawalpindi on Tuesday rejected a request to discharge former dictator Pervez Musharraf’s name from the Benazir Bhutto murder case.

A hearing in this regard was held Tuesday during which Advocate Akhtar Shah made the request to discharge Musharraf’s name.

After listening to his arguments, the court rejected the plea as inadmissible.

The court also dismissed Shah’s request to become a party and a witness in the case, saying he was politically affiliated.
